Multi-level parking work to start soon

Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) will finalise tenders for two proposed multi-level parking lots in the city, one at Raj Nagar District Centre and the other at Indirapuram, by the end of July.
“In the first week of August, we hope to start work on two parking areas in RDC and Indirapuram. By July, we will finalise bidders,” said Kanchan Verma, the vice-chairperson, GDA.
The parking lots would be three-storeyed and will be able to accommodate 150 four-wheelers. The parking lot at Indirapuram, near Swarn Jyanti Park, will cater to 300-odd vehicles.
The GDA is also working on a plan to develop two more parking lots at Madhuban Bapudham. “Madhuban Bapudham housing scheme spread about 1,200 acres is going to be the next big thing as it will have commercial and residential installations and we can already foresee parking problem in the area,” said Verma.
