He's brave! Nick 'The Honey Badger' Cummins to 'appear on Angie Kent's season of The Bachelorette as an intruder' after copping major backlash for picking NO winner on The Bachelor

After copping major backlash following last year's season of The Bachelor, one would think that Nick 'The Honey Badger' Cummins would want to stay well away from the Channel 10 franchise.

But according to a new report, the former Wallabies star is going for round two.

New Idea claims that the 31-year-old sportsman, who failed to pick a winner during his scandalous stint on The Bachelor, is set to appear on Angie Kent's season on The Bachelorette - as an intruder.

A source told the magazine that the curly-haired star wants to go on the show to 'redeem himself'.

'Following the backlash Nick copped after his season, he feels it would be a great opportunity to rewrite the past and show Australia the new Nick,' the insider told the publication.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out for comment.

Nick has mostly stayed away from the spotlight since his disastrous appearance on The Bachelor.

But he broke his silence a couple of months after he angered viewers of the Bachelor, describing his experience filming the reality TV show as 'soul-destroying'.

In a candid interview, he told Hit105's Stav, Abby and Matt: 'There are two worlds that we live in and sometimes we are forced to be something [so that] we're not fully ourselves.'

Nick explained that while he tried to be authentically himself on the show, the pressure of filming meant he wasn't always coming across as genuine.

'You want to be completely 100 per cent honest,' he said, before adding that adjusting his personality to fit the Bachelor formula was 'soul-destroying'.

However, he hoped that by following his heart and being honest with his feelings, he set a good example for young men watching at home.

The former Wallaby mentioned his personal mantra, 'If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything', during his discussion about the Bachelor.

He apparently made a similar principled decision aged 15 when he was threatened with being sacked from a grocery store for not wearing Christmas antlers.

Despite his negative experience, Nick didn't turn his back on a television career altogether.

Nick revealed he had just finished filming the show Meanwhile In Australia with National Geographic.

He explained how a camera crew filmed his journey from the Whitsundays to Cape Tribulation, in north Queensland.

The rugby star chatted to locals along the way and also participated in famous tourist activities.
