Leopard trapped in house rescued

The leopard had entered the house in Itoli village while chasing a dog
Chandrapur: Forest officials of Ballarpur range successfully rescued a leopard trapped in a house in Itoli village on Saturday.

Official sources informed that a leopard pursuing a domestic dog barged into the house of one Laxmi Deotale in the morning. The Deotales rushed out of the house and closed the door from outside, trapping the leopard into the house. The forest officials were informed soon after.
A team of foresters led by RFO Sandeep Thipe and rapid response unit of forest department cornered the large mob that had gathered at the spot, blocked all the entry points into the village with the help of nets and then scared the leopard away into the jungle in a day-long rescue operation.
