New Delhi, Fuel prices remained stable on Saturday. In Delhi, petrol was retailing at Rs 73.35 per litre. Diesel stood at Rs 66.24 per litre. In Mumbai, while petrol was valued at Rs 78.96 per litre. Diesel price stood at Rs 69.43 a litre. According to the Indian Oil Corporation data, petrol was retailing at Rs 75.77 per litre in Kolkata while diesel costs Rs 68.31 a litre.
Petrol in Chennai retailed at Rs 76.18 per litre while diesel costs Rs 69.96 a litre. In Noida, petrol was available at a price of Rs 72.58 per litre and diesel stood at Rs 65.34 a litre. While petrol in Gurugram was priced at Rs 73.04 a litre, diesel was being sold at Rs 65.43 p/l. As per the country’s dynamic pricing mechanism, the domestic fuel prices depend upon International fuel prices on a 15-day average and the value of the rupee.
The price of the two fuels retailing at the petrol pumps is calculated after adding central excise duty, dealers commission and value-added tax (VAT) to the base price. The prices are revised at 0600 hrs daily, while earlier, they used to be revised every fortnight.
