A special week for freshers at Bennett University

A session by officers from the Indian Air Force was a favourite of many students. There were interesting sessions by professionals from different fields like journalism , health, animal rehabilitation and by entrepreneurs in the Fresher’s Welcome Week of Bennett University
It was an entertaining and educative week for the new batch of students at Bennett University. The faculty and senior students welcomed the freshers with sports activities, sessions with professionals from different fields, workshops of films and dance and an open mic night. On the last day of the orientation week, the Sports Department of Bennett University organized various activities like fitness challenge, aqua zumba, water polo, basketball and football for the students. More than 300 students actively took part in the activities which took place in the sprawling Sports Complex. During the week, the mornings started with jogging, stretching and zumba from 7am to 9am.

Group activites like football, cricket, squash, badminton, basketball and more happened in the evening. There was also a workshop on self-defense. Sports Officer Pratima Singh said, “Our main goal while organizing the activities was to make the freshers feel like they are at home. I told the members of our Sports Committee to interact with as many students as they could and guide them.”
“We had great fun. The freshers were very enthusiastic about all the activities and we also had a good number of participants. It was a great learning experience organizing these events,” said Japna Batra, a third-year BBA student who was part of the organizing team.
“The sports activities that the college organized for us were really amazing. The best part was the zumba workshop,” said Anirban Roy Mukherjee, who has joined the BTech (CSE) course.
