There are 11 South Africans in the field this week: Ernie Els, Louis Oosthuizen, Justin Harding, Branden Grace, Dylan Frittelli, Erik van Rooyen, Shaun Norris, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Richard Sterne, Brandon Stone and Zander Lombard.

The last time a South African lifted the famed Claret Jug was in 2012 when Els won by single stroke at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
