Cape Town – Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter got married in June 2018, and while Kaitlynn told People "it was the most dreamy, incredible night ever", one thing, or rather, one person was missing: Brody's dad, Caitlyn Jenner.
On Monday night’s episode of The Hills: New Beginnings, Brody revealed how Caitlyn cancelling on their wedding just "a week before" the ceremony, according to Kaitlynn, affected him.
"Not having my dad at the wedding was a bummer. Honestly, it really did hurt. I would have loved to have had her there, but she had better things to do. Apparently."
At the time a source close to the family told People that Caitlyn had "work commitments" that had been "set up for months and couldn’t be changed in the end".

Brody admitted that his mom, Linda Thompson, is the rock in the family. "My dad and I have never really had a great relationship," he says. If there’s one thing we know to expect from The Hills though, it’s those infamous confrontations. So could the power of positive confrontation result in a new beginning for Brody and Caitlyn? According to Brody, that's unlikely.
In a previous episode of the show Brody said when Caitlyn married Kris, she started spending most of her time with the Kardashians. "I didn’t really grow up with my dad," he said. "She’s off living her life, so what I've learned is to just not expect too much from her."
