Top provinces

Gauteng leads the way in terms of car sales with 63 126 models sold so far in 2019, followed by Kwa-Zula Natal (22 937) and the Western Cape (17 780).

Popular cars

The Volkswagen Polo Vivo topped the list as the best-selling passenger car in South Africa during June 2019. The popular Vivo, which managed to sell off 2571 units, comprehensively outsold its Polo sibling; the more premium Polo only managed 1887 units to secure second place on our list.
