A fire broke out on the sixth floor of the State Bank of India (SBI) building on Sansad Marg on Wednesday morning. No injuries were reported in the incident.
A fire service official said that a call was received at 8.10 a.m. after which seven fire tenders were pressed into service.
“The fire was brought under control by 8.30 a.m. after which cooling off operation continued for the next few hours,” the official said. He added that the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, Delhi Fire Service chief Atul Garg said that the firefighting equipment in the building were not in working condition.
