Man crushed under train

Ludhiana: A 40-year-old man was run over by Shan-e- Punjab express at Dabba railway crossing on Tuesday evening.
Kashimir Singh, Assistant Sub-Inspector at GRP said the man was crushed under the train while it was heading towards Delhi on Tuesday around 5.45pm at Dabba railway crossing. The man, yet to be identified in a bid to take a short-cut jumped off the tracks from the unmanned crossing and came under the train”. Police said the body has been crushed beyond recognition. “We have initiated proceedings under section 174 of CrPc and sent the body for post-mortem,” he said.
