Weeks after NBC decided to pull the plug on A.P. Bio, it looks like school is going to be back in session after all.

The network has reversed its decision to cancel the half-hour comedy series and will instead move the show to NBCUniversal's new streaming service for Season 3, per The Hollywood Reporter. This will mark the first original offering for the NBCUniversal streaming service, which recently bought back the rights to stream The Office after a bidding war with Netflix.

Showrunner Mike O'Brien said in a statement, "I'm so overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the fans. The cast and I are thrilled that we get to make more and I'm excited to work with the NBCU streaming platform"

O'Brien originally spearheaded a #SaveAPBio campaign on Twitter shortly after the show was canceled in May, as star Patton Oswalt encouraged fans to binge the series on Hulu in hopes of a revival. The show's lead, Glenn Howerton, recently teased that fans should "stay tuned" for more news on the series.

When news of the show's return broke on Wednesday, Oswalt responded by writing, "Apple in wastebasket. See you guys soon. And thank ALL of you -- best fans ever!!!"

A.P. Bio, which stars Howerton as a down-on-his-luck Harvard professor who becomes a high school teacher, is produced by O'Brien alongside Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels and Seth Meyers.

A.P. Bio's first two seasons are available for streaming (with cable subscription) on NBC. NBC's streaming service is expected to launch some time in 2020.
