HYDERABAD: A
traffic policeman helped a woman in retrieving her handbag that she left behind on a
Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus on Wednesday.
The 40-year-old woman had taken the
TSRTC bus from Puranapul to Shamshabad. During the course of the journey, she had kept her bag next to her on the seat.
However, when she got down to forgot to pick it up. Only after she got down from the bus, did she realise that she had left her bag behind.
“She panicked initially but within a few minutes decided to seek help from a traffic constable, Inayathullah Khan, of Bahadurpura traffic police station. Khan was on duty at a spot near the location where she got down from the bus,” said traffic inspector (admin) KVP Raju.
“The constable along with the woman then followed the bus, waved at the driver and picked up the handbag at Afzalgunj,” he said.
The bag contained cash, medicines and gold ornaments. It was later handed over to the woman who thanked the traffic police for their help. DCP traffic K Babu Rao appreciated the constable for his good work.
