LUCKNOW: At least 14 persons lost their lives in the state due to natural causes. Revealing data for 24 hours up to 6 pm on Tuesday, a government spokesperson said that four persons died due to snake bites, one each in Ambedkarnagar and Pratapgarh and two in Pilibhit.
Three people, two in Moradabad and one in Shahjahanpur, died when they were struck by lightning.
Heavy rain claimed one life each in Bareilly, Muzaffarnagar and Pratapgarh while one person died in Unnao and Ballia, respectively, in thunderstorm.
In Allahabad, one person died due to drowning while one person was killed in a wild boar attack in Azamgarh.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath asked district administration to immediately release the compensation amount of Rs 4 lakh for the families of the deceased and extend all help on behalf of the state.
Between Sunday evening and Monday evening, seven persons had reportedly lost their lives due to natural causes.
