There are plenty of reasons why more celebrities than ever are rejecting premium hotels for lavish rental properties while staying Down Under.

And according to Monique Eyles and Steve Keir of luxury short-term accommodation service Hotelesque, more celebrities than ever are paying up to $50K-per-week to rent coveted properties that aren't even advertised to the public.

'At the end of the day, they're just human beings like the rest of us, but they do have their own nuances,' Mr Keir told RealEstate.com of his A-list clientele.

Among the many requests made by visiting stars looking for luxury rentals, Ms Eyles told the publication that space and privacy are most common. 

'They can hold interviews in the house, they can entertain, cook, or have a private chef come in. They can’t do that in a hotel and many want to be healthy and don’t necessarily want to order room service all the time,' she said.

“They don’t want to be on top of other people or have the neighbours hear what they’re doing so they want enough room around them for entertaining, or rehearsing,' she continued.

The Sydney suburb of Mosman has welcomed some of the world's biggest stars thanks to it's upmarket locale and close proximity to the CBD.

Justin was able to move in immediately, as the rental home came complete with bespoke furniture, high-end décor and a curated art collection.  

Adele had previously rented out the same property during her first Australian tour, but ultimately decided to stay in Hunters Hill.

Adele: Hunters Hill, Sydney 

During her 2017 Australian tour, Adele was rumoured the $24,000-per-week mansion used in early seasons of The Bachelor Australia. 

The Hunters Hill property, known as 'Clifton', is a heritage-listed, two-story mansion that spans over 5100 square metres of Parramatta River frontage.

Kelly Rowland: Bondi Beach, Sydney  

Kelly Rowland decided not to stay in a hotel while staying in Sydney to film The Voice Australia earlier this year. 

Instead, the Destiny's Child singer rented out a nondescript red-brick block of flats in North Bondi for a whopping $4,900-per-week. 

The building, while fitted with wide picture windows and long balconies, is reminiscent of the many cookie-cutter 1960s-era apartment blocks in the area.

The property is in a prime location, boasting expansive views of Bondi's world-famous beach.  

Inside, the apartment is fitted out with blonde floorboards and chic mid-century style furnishings.

When Ricky Martin filmed The Voice in Sydney in 2015, he asked his agent for a private mansion with ocean views, a child-friendly pool and easy access to the show's studios. 

It was no surprise he decided to stay at The Wave House in Bronte, a $2.8 million mansion with spectacular views of Sydney's iconic Bronte Beach.

Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Barroso are no strangers to the idyllic coastal region of Byron Bay. 

The couple have holidayed in the region on several occasions over the years, and are even rumoured to be making a permanent move Down Under.

In 2018, The Bourne Identity star and his family rented out Byron Bay's famous  Blackwood House, splashing out a rumoured $5500-per-month during their extended sojourn.  

The sprawling pad features an infinity pool, five bedrooms and 145 acres (59 hectares) of private bushland.

In the kitchen, timber cupboards and marble bench tops are integrated with stainless steel appliances to create a bachelor-pad style elegance and sophistication.

The waterfront home features six spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, leaving plenty of room for the 80s iconic and his entourage.

The Karma Chameleon singer was able to enjoy the picturesque views from the sprawling balcony of the heritage style home, which can be accessed from the master suite.
