THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A set of strictures will govern the functioning of University
College here as it restarts functioning on Thursday. The strictures were framed on the basis of a report from
collegiate education deputy director K K Suma, who visited the college on Tuesday and analysed the situation.
Suma had a discussion with college authorities on reopening the college. She said all the banners and graffiti inside the campus would be removed while the union room had already been converted into a classroom.
No student outfit will be allowed to erect flagposts in the college without the permission of the principal. Only college lecturers and students will be allowed inside the college while police security will be provided to the college for a few days. No re-admission will be allowed in the college and admissions will be purely based on merit. The college will function under the control of the principal and teachers.
