'They're playing the wrong one!' Embarrassing ABC blunder sees broadcaster air LAST WEEK'S episode of Shaun Micallef's Mad As Hell - as the host labels them 'idiots'
Comedian Shaun Micallef was left baffled on Wednesday night when the ABC played the wrong episode of his show, Mad As Hell.
The 56-year-old veteran broadcaster took to Twitter during the show's airing time to confirm the embarrassing blunder.
'My wife is ringing the ABC switchboard. I rang ITV. Hopefully we'll at least get the right one up on iView,' he bemoaned, mentioning it would have been a good episode to air this week.

'It's a good episode too. Nice and topical. Maybe they'll play it next week,' Shaun said, adding the hashtags '#madashelltv' and '#idiots'.
The Have You Been Paying Attention host joked: 'Trying to get the correct episode up on iView now so you can switch over. Tried ringing the switchboard but Peter Dutton answered so I hung up.'
Eventually he told fans: 'I've just heard from the ABC and they've just confirmed that they're playing the wrong episode. Thank God. I thought I was going crazy...'

Funnily enough the episode's repeat made the program trend on Twitter, alongside MasterChef and The Drum.
On Wednesday night, a number of fans were left confused after the repeat of the comedy show starting playing.
One fan angrily Tweeted: 'What's with the repeat? I have no life and have been looking forward to this for a week.'

Daily Mail Australia has reached out for comment to the ABC following the error, with the station yet to respond.
ITV Studios Australia, who produces the show, played down the mistake to TV Tonight.
CEO David Mott said: 'I look forward to seeing the new one soon... Meanwhile we're enjoying a lovely encore of last week's episode.'
