Manhunt for 'sexual predator' with a distinctive parrot logo on his shirt who indecently assaulted a 12-year-old boy on a tram as he sat with his friends

A desperate manhunt is underway after a 12-year-old boy was sexually assaulted on a Melbourne tram.
Police say a man, aged in his 50s or 60s, got on the 109 tram on Cotham Road in the inner-suburb of Kew at about 8.30am on February 8.
The man then sat opposite the boy before sexually assaulting him.
The alleged predator, who is described as Asian in appearance and aged between 50 and 60, was wearing a cream jacket with a distinct image of a parrot on the left breast pocket. Pictured: Police composite of the man (left) and the parrot seen on his jacket (right)
The boy, who was also sitting with a group of friends, fled the tram at Kew Junction.
The man remained seated on the tram.
The alleged predator who is described as Asian in appearance, was wearing a cream jacket with a distinct image of a parrot on the left breast pocket.
