Three arrested after 100kg of ice found in ute in Sydney: police
Three men have been charged after more than 100 kilograms of the drug ice, valued at $35 million, was found in the tray of a Toyota Hilux ute in Sydney's south-east, police say.
The men - aged 31, 35 and 36 - were arrested as they left a house in Malabar about 7pm on Tuesday.
A subsequent search revealed the drugs in storage containers in the ute, which was in the driveway of the house, police said.
The men were targeted after detectives from the NSW Drug and Firearms Squad launched an investigation into the activities of a group believed to have been involved in the supply of illicit drugs last month.
Investigators also executed a search warrant at a property on Essington Crescent, Sylvania.
The men were taken to Maroubra police station and charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug.
All were refused bail and are due to appear at Waverley Local Court on Wednesday.
Investigations are continuing.
