Kanwar Yatra kicks off: A look at what it entails

Today (July 17) marks the beginning of auspicious Hindu month of Shravan. The month sees Kanwar Yatra, an annual pilgrimage of Lord Shiva's devotees. Known as Kanwariyas, they visit Haridwar, Gaumukh and Gangotri in Uttarakhand and Sultanganj in Bihar to fetch holy waters of river Ganga. Here's a look at this journey of faith.
