Star Sports has expanded its regional presence in India as it has announced the launch of a dedicated Marathi channel, Star Sports 1 Marathi.
The channel went live on 15 July 2019. The channel has created an opening show titled 'Maharashtracha Nava Star' which will have segments of various sports played across the state namely Kushti, Malakham, Maradani Khel, Football, Handball and much more.
The launching campaign – ‘Awaz Marathicha’ will be released on 20 July.
Sports 1 Marathi is the fifth regional sports channel from Star India which also includes Star Sports 1 Tamil, Star Sports 1 Telugu, Star Sports 1 Kannada and Star Sports 1 Bangla.
The network also has an English and Hindi offering.
