Western Digital has launched the new My Password Go SSD with up to 1TB portable SSD storage in India. It is said to feature a durable build and packs a convenient form factor with an integrated cable. The SSD features a shock-absorbing rubber bumper and no moving parts, thereby making it drop-resistant for up to 2 meters. The Passport Go SSD is claimed to be 2.5 times faster than most portable hard drives, and it is also capable of delivering SSD performance of up to 400MB/s. Western Digital My Passport Go is aimed at frequent travellers.
Furthermore, the WD My Passport Go SSDs are compatible with Windows and Mac computers, and the company is also offering an automatic backup software for Windows. It is also Time Machine compatible for Mac backup. The Western Digital My Passport Go SSD is available in Cobalt Blue and Amber colour options. It features a USB Type-A port with an attached USB cable for connection. it measures 9.4 x 6.6 x 1cm and weighs 55g.
The 500GB storage model costs Rs 14,500, while the 1TB model sets you back by Rs 29,500. These are already available in India exclusively via Amazon India. However, they are currently listed at Rs 6,499 and Rs 12,999, respectively on Amazon as a part of the Prime Day Sale, so the pricing might change once the sale ends tonight. The company is offering a three-year warranty on the product.
