HYDERABAD: A bank employee committed suicide by inhaling
liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at his house in Chaitanyapuri on Saturday.
The deceased was, G Anurag, 30, employee of
Syndicate Bank,
Shamshabad branch. “Anurag was supposed to accompany his parents to Tirupati. But he sent them to
Tirupati on Saturday saying that he would join them the next day,” Chaitanyapuri inspector N Ramu said.
After seeing off his parents, Anurag returned to his flat in
Yadav Nagar on Saturday evening. “ On Sunday evening, Anurag’s uncle who stays in the flat above, noticed the gas smell. As Anurag was not opening the door, his uncle with the help of neighbours, broke the latch and found him lying dead in the bed,” the inspector said.
Family members told police that he had been upset when they raised the subject of his marriage. “The exact reason for his suicide is unknown. He did not leave any suicide note,” the inspector said. A suspicious death case was registered under section 174 of CrPC.
