Allahabad: In view of the holy month of Shrawan beginning on Wednesday, the district administration on Tuesday claimed to have made elaborate arrangements for the kanwariyas who would visit Dashashwamedh ghat and Sangam to take Ganga water and start their journey to Padila Mahadeo in Tharwari and Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi to offer jalabhishek.
A team of district officials on Tuesday checked ghats, road repair, potable water, power supply and cleanliness around the
ghats as well as nearby temple premises and assigned duties to officials to take proper care of kanwariyas.
“Elaborate arrangements have been made for Lord Shiva devotees, known as kanwariyas, who would start visiting Ganga ghats and Sangam to take holy water to offer jalabhishek at prominent Lord Shiva temples,” said an official adding “traffic diversion has already been implemented for their convenience.”
He also added that mobile medical health vans and police bandobast has also been made on route between Allahabad and Bhadohi.
Joint teams of police and district administration would be monitoring the route round the clock and offering immediate assistance when needed.
Besides, adequate security arrangements have also been made at city based temple where cops would be maintaining a strict vigil and watch to ensure the safety and security of devotees.
