    Union minister Nitin Gadkari today said people have to pay toll if they want good roads, making it clear that the toll system would stay as the government does not have enough funds.
    "Toll zindagi bhar band nahi ho sakta... kam zyaada ho saktha hai. Toll ka janamdata main ho... (Toll system can
    never end though rates may vary from time to time. Toll is my brain child," Gadkari said.
    "If you want good services, you have to pay for it.
    Government does not have money...," he stressed. (PTI)

Following this, Minister of State with independent charge in the Ministry of Labour and Employment Santosh Ganwar and Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan will move a motion to include two members from the House to the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and Indian Nursing Council, respectively.

  • What is the National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill?

    The National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was introduced in Lok Sabha by Amit Shah, the Minister or Home Afairs, on July 8, 2019. The Bill amends the National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act, 2008.  This Act provides for a national-level agency to investigate and prosecute offenses listed in a schedule, or scheduled offences. In addition to that, the Act allows for creation of Special Courts for the trial of scheduled offenses.

  • The National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill is being discussed in the Lok Sabha.
