“The Honor 9X has a large 6.59-inch screen and a 3,900mAh battery”
Honor has announced the launch date of its budget smartphone – the Honor 9X – and we’ve not been short of teasers up till now, although those didn’t give away much information. However, we’re now seeing the company giving us a complete look at the rear of the device for the first time. The launch is on July 23rd and Honor is getting serious with teasers. Take a look at the rear panel of the Honor 9X below.
The teaser clearly shows a triple camera in a vertical formation. A leaked schematic from reputed tipster Evan Blass has previously shown a dual camera on the Honor 9X. Hence, we assume that we’re looking at the Pro variant of the device here. The processor has already been officially revealed to be the HiSilicon Kirin 810 SoC. The exact details about the sensors are not known but rumours have pointed out a 48MP main sensor for the Pro version. Huawei’s love affair with gradient shows up here as well as Honor adopts a unique X pattern with purple-blue hue. But that’s pretty much what we get with the teaser. Expect even more teasers with important features in the coming days.
Based on the latest information, the Honor 9X has now also surfaced on China’s certification portal TENAA albeit with just a few specifications. The display size is revealed to be 6.59-inches with a battery size of 3,900mAh. That’s a massive screen and we don’t expect the Pro variant to have anything bigger than that. Also, the dominant belief on the rumour mill is that the Honor 9X series will feature a pop-up camera design. Since the TENAA listing has already appeared with partial specifications, we just need to wait for a couple of days before the full details come up on the portal. This listing will also reveal the design of both the models.
