The Automotive News PACE Award website is open for the 26th year of celebrating supplier innovation.
Companies that want to be recognized for game-changing products, processes, business models, software/IT systems or materials are invited to apply at autonews.com/pace.
The Automotive News PACE Awards invites both traditional and nontraditional suppliers around the world to celebrate their achievements in bringing cutting-edge innovations for new products, processes and services to market.
Entries must be innovations that have been commercialized by a sale to an automaker and will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges.
The deadline for applications is Sept. 6.
Following a review, PACE Award finalists will be announced at the SAE Global Leadership Conference on Oct. 11. Each finalist will be assigned two judges, who will conduct a site visit for a review of the technologies, performance metrics, market impact, barriers surmounted, cost structure and commercial aspects of the products or processes.
Automotive News PACEpilots, a new area of recognition, will open for applications this summer. That program will review entries from suppliers, including startups, that have reached a working pilot demonstration phase but are not yet fully commercialized with a contracted sale.
"Innovations are redefining automotive and mobility products and services at an accelerated rate," said J Ferron, director of PACE Award judging. "The customer value chain is under pressure to create better ways of increasing value. Over the past quarter century, the PACE Awards have become the lens into the future."
The PACE Awards are sponsored by Deloitte and the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association.
