Share market update: FMCG shares trade lower; Tata Global dips 1%

NEW DELHI: FMCG shares were trading with losses in Monday's morning session.

Shares of Tata Global Beverages (down 1.12 per cent), United Breweries (down 1.02 per cent), ColgatePalmolive (India) (down 0.99 per cent) and ITC (down 0.95 per cent) were trading lower.

Godrej Consumer Products (down 0.83 per cent), United Spirits (down 0.82 per cent), GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (down 0.71 per cent) and Marico (down 0.67 per cent) too were trading with losses.

The Nifty FMCG index was trading 0.58 per cent down at 29,080.90 around 10:43 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 9.70 points at 11,562.20 while the BSE Sensex was up 79.53 points at 38,815.76.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Dish TV India, Infosys, Allahabad Bank, Tata Motors, PNB, Vodafone Idea, SAIL, Sun Pharma and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
