Tigers Claw For Duo

Hull City are reportedly preparing a double loan swoop for Liverpool duo Ben Woodburn and Herbie Kane.

According to Hull Daily Mail via The Mirror, the Yorkshire outfit are stepping up their pursuit of the Academy pair.

Welsh international Woodburn has featured twice already for Jurgen Klopp’s first-team in pre-season friendlies.

Another loan move could benefit the 19-year-old with playing time on Merseyside limited.

Meanwhile, Neil Jones of Goal reports Kane is attracting interest from Brentford and Charlton after an impressive spell with Doncaster last term.

Pinpoint From Ojo

Sheyi Ojo is already finding his most fluid football under the tutelage of Kop idol Steven Gerrard.

The 22-year-old was loaned to Rangers at the start of the window and is already up and running.

Ojo whipped in a fine cross for veteran goalscorer Jermaine Defoe to head home as Rangers ran out 4-0 winners in a friendly clash against Marseille.

Mane Makes It

Sadio Mane has reached the Africa Cup of Nations final after Senegal ran out 1-0 winners against Tunisia.

The Lions of Teranga will now play in Friday’s showdown against Algeria as the Reds’ forward looks to add to his Champions League winners medal.

Fans are already wondering if the 27-year-old will then be in contention to win the Ballon d’Or after a scintillating season with club and country.

Mane is currently the bookmakers fifth favourite behind team-mates Virgil van Dijk and Alisson and icons Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The superstar could see his odds shorten if he claims African football’s most prestigious prize.

Olmo's Agent Snubs United

Dani Olmo’s agent has reportedly ruled out a move to Manchester United for his player as they have not qualified for next season’s Champions League.

The 21-year-old creative midfielder has attracted interest from a number of Europe’s top sides including Liverpool.

Mundo Deportivo, as cited by Express, report the Spain Under-21 star is undecided on a move as of yet.

Meanwhile the winger recently admitted: “There’s talk about a lot of teams and many more rumours.

“I don’t know what is true and what isn’t. I’ve wanted to disconnect from everything and when I have the chance to speak with my agent, we’ll see.

“I’ve always said that I wanted to return to Spain, it would be nice, but we’ll see what happens.

“I’m not ruling out any team. Out of respect to everyone who is interested in me, I’m not going to say anything. You have to respect them all.”

Could Olmo’s urgency to play Champions League football be a positive for the reigning European Champions?

Well, yes, but German giants Bayern Munich are said to be keen on landing the Dinamo Zagreb man, while a host of La Liga outfits are also trying to tempt the rising star into a return home.

Coutinho 'approves loan'

The weekend has been awash with Philippe Coutinho to Liverpool rumours.

It all started with comments made by the playmaker’s agent in Telegraph Sport.

Kia Joorabchian revealed it would be difficult for Coutinho to move to one of Liverpool’s direct rivals.

He said: “I think Liverpool lies very, very deeply in his heart, he was a big fan of them throughout the campaign [last season].

“He was wishing for them to win the title and he has a very strong affinity there so I think it will be very difficult for him to go to a direct competitor of Liverpool from a personal standpoint.”

“I will not let people talk about Philippe and put him down because for one-and-a-half years we have said nothing.

“I won’t let them do that and all of us in Philippe’s camp will not let that happen because Barcelona have told us he is staying.”

Subsequent reports from CuleManias said Barca owed the Reds in excess of £88million for the Brazilian who made the £142million switch in 2018.

Calciomercato then reported Coutinho has given his backing to an offer from Liverpool to take him on a two-year loan with the option to buy for £88million.

Are you still with me?

So, what started as a snowball has now seemingly become a rumour mill avalanche spiralling out of control.

With Jurgen Klopp having spent big in last summer’s transfer window it has been suggested the German boss is unlikely to do so this summer.

Meanwhile Barcelona have made their intentions clear that they intend for the No.7 to stay on at Camp Nou.

This follows marquee signing Antoine Griezmann receiving the No.17 shirt rather than Coutinho’s number, as it was previously suggested by Spanish outlet AS.
