Executive robbed of Audi at gunpoint

Gurgaon: A senior executive with a private company was allegedly robbed of Audi in Dhanwapur on Saturday night. He was returning home in his Audi when a car with four armed men allegedly intercepted him and robbed him of the vehicle, his mobile phone and wallet at gunpoint.
Ravi Shankar, a resident of Najafgarh in Dehi, works with a private company which is currently involved in a project in Patli village. Shankar was returning home in his Audi after finishing work on Saturday night, when a car with UP registration number plates allegedly overtook him and stopped in front of him on Dhanwapur road in Kherki Majra.
Three of the accused came out the car, of which one was carrying a gun. They forced Shankar to come out of his car and snatched his mobile and wallet. The accused then thrashed him and fled with his Audi. Shankar managed to call police from the phone of a commuter. “I had important documents in the car,” Shankar said in his complaint.
On the basis of his complaint, a case was registered at Rajender Park police station under Section 379B (snatching by using weapon) of IPC. “The area from where car was snatched is not covered by CCTV cameras. The crime unit is trying track the accused,” said inspector Rohtash Dhull, SHO of Rajender Park police station.

According to police, the accused had knowledge of the area where the crime took place and the location of CCTV cameras in the vicinity. “They cornered the victim in an area which is not covered by CCTV,” the officer said.
Earlier on July 7, two vehicles, including a city-based businessman’s SUV, was robbed at gunpoint in separate incidents.
