Dr Scott Miller is a friendly Aussie veterinarian with piercing blue eyes and a telegenic smile, operating a practice in the English village of Richmond that – get this – is no ordinary practice! Which is a relief given they've gone to the trouble of making a TV show about it.

Of course, making watchable TV out of adorable animals is like shooting fish in a barrel – something Dr Scott would obviously never do as he is a friend to all creatures. The adorableness of the cast in this episode may be questionable, however: the sexy blond vet seems besieged by pets needing makeovers. Weight loss for both cats and dogs is addressed, along with a kitty with unkempt fur. Disappointing lack of elephant root canals or open heart surgery on lions, but if you like seeing cats and dogs being cuddled, you'll find satisfaction.
