A farmhouse tenant who claims to have spotted three yowies now says there was 'another mysterious creature' lurking in the dark during the bizarre encounter.

Jackie Liversidge had rented out the old cottage property in Tarzali, Queensland, with her children and niece in July 2016.

She opened up to Australian Yowie Research, saying she felt like she was being watched in her bathroom and 'something wasn't right' - and claimed she'd spotted three mythical beasts.

'He was a strange looking pale white guy, like the one all over the internet caught on a hunter's camera. But it was black not white.' (Jackie Libersidge described the creature similar to this photo)

Now, Ms Liversidge said she didn't tell the full story about the night in question.

'I don't want the story to be mixed up but it wasn't just three yowies there was another creature with them,' she told the Cairns Post.

'He was a strange looking pale white guy, like the one all over the internet caught on a hunter's camera. But it was black not white.

'The cheek bones were sunken and hollow but they never glowed, they were completely black. And it used to squat and just sit there and stare. We still can't believe we lived through it.'

The owner of the house, Paul Russell, rejected Ms Liversidge's claims and said her imagination had 'gone wild' and she had probably seen possums.

The mother had previously shared her family's experience with the 'yowie's'.

'My oldest son was walking out of the bathroom at night and said he heard a very loud demonic animal growl and he ran inside and said, ''mum, something is out there'' and I had heard it before but I ignored it,' she said.

The single mother purchased a high-powered torch, and shone it out into the field after hearing a unsettling noise.

She was gobsmacked with what she saw.

'It was pitch black, hairy and the size of a chimpanzee,' she said.

'It looked like a monkey.'

She said the creatures head was oblong and it had glowing white eyes. She also said its head could turn around all the way to keep an eye on her and her family.

The mother only lasted 10 months in the home before promptly moving elsewhere.

Yowie hunter and founder of Australian Yowie Research, Dean Harrison, who interviewed the woman about her encounter, said that yowies are known to reveal themselves to single women with young children living in isolated rural areas.

He revealed that the single mother had kept the chilling tale to herself since 2016, adding that it's not as easy as simply going to the police to report these encounters.

Mr Harrison said that people call him up 'every single day of the year' with stories of encounters.

'We hear reports of people who have kept it secret of 60 or 70 years but want to come forward before they die,' he said.
