Sidhu wasn’t an impulsive batsman but has proved to be the opposite in politics. He should know better that every lofted shot doesn’t clear the fielder on the boundary in politics.

Congress opposition to empowering NIA doesn’t make sense

The Congress party’s opposition to the National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill, which seeks to empower the counter-terrorism body, is unfortunate. It’s ironical because it was the Congress-led UPA government that created NIA after 26/11. Parties must set aside their political differences and forge unity when it comes to fighting terror.
