iPhone 11 leaks are growing in frequency, since the launch of 2019 iPhones is believed to be just around the corner. Now, an image of a purported live image of the iPhone 11 has been spotted for the first time, giving us a glimpse of how it would look in the flesh. The 2019 iPhone has been a matter of much controversy, with leaked designs and renders showing a triple camera module that has opinions divided. So far, all iPhone 11 leaks have supported the triple rear camera design, which makes it likely that despite looking a bit ungainly, the design will stand.
In the leaked live image, shared on Slashleaks, the iPhone 11 is seen sporting a glass back similar to the 2018 iPhone XS. The three cameras are arranged in a triangular pattern and are placed on a raised, square bump that also integrates the flash module. The mid-frame is metal, also remaining similar to the present iPhone. The 2019 iPhones are believed to retain the same notch and use an OLED display panel to offer deeper blacks and better power conservation. They are also believed to skip on 5G this year, and Apple’s resolution of differences with Qualcomm can only be seen in 2020 iPhones, which are believed to feature Qualcomm’s 5G modem.
While the new leak does not particularly reveal details about the upcoming iPhone, it gives us an affirmation of how the 2019 iPhones would look like. While many designs often look good in flesh despite seeming awkward in photos and renders, the 2019 iPhones appear to look awkward even in a real life photo, with the three camera units sticking out in stark contrast from the rest of the phone’s rear side. While this particular unit seen in the photo is said to be the iPhone 11, the iPhone XR is also expected to get a follow-up in 2019, possibly named iPhone XIR. This iPhone is expected to get a dual-camera upgrade, although it still might retain an LCD display and not get the OLED one.
