Trains have played an important part in the history and heritage of North Wales stretching back through the decades.
From the Ffestiniog Railway, the oldest independent railway company in the World to the beautiful rolling scenery in Llangollen, they have fascinated and provided joy to countless visitors, commuters and railway line workers throughout the generations.
Although still operating and providing normal and tourist services today, locomotives still evoke nostalgia, harking back to a past era, when trains hinted at a different pace of life.

Ffestiniog Railway
The Ffestiniog Railway is the oldest independent railway company in the World - being founded by an Act of Parliament in 1832.
