Arunvir Singh to handle Jewar affairs

NOIDA: Arunvir Singh, a 1987-batch UP civil services officer and an IAS since 2005, has been reappointed CEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and the Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), the company that will oversee the development of the Jewar international airport.
Singh retired on June 30, but has been given an extension of a year, during which he will manage all affairs of YEIDA and the upcoming airport. The selection of concessionaire for the airport project, releasing of tenders and contracts, finalising processes and handling financial matters will among the responsibilities assigned to Singh. The Jewar airport is being built at a cost of Rs 10,000 crore and NIAL was established last year to handle all matters related to the airport.
