Leaders of the Congress-JD(S) coalition held negotiations with Nagaraj on Saturday in a bid to woo him back to save the H D Kumaraswamy-led government in Karnataka that is on the brink of collapse.
The Hoskote MLA had maintained that he intended to take a final decision on the withdrawal of his resignation after talks with Chikkaballapura MLA K Sudhakar, as both had together submitted resignation to the Speaker on July 10.

1 more rebel Karnataka MLA arrives in Mumbai, count now 15
Rebel Karnataka Congress MLA MTB Nagaraj, who submitted his resignation to the Assembly Speaker on July 10, arrived in Mumbai Sunday afternoon, taking the total number of MLAs in the metropolis to 15, sources said.
Earlier, news channels in the southern state had shown visuals of Nagaraj boarding a chartered flight.
"He has arrived here in the afternoon and is in the hotel where some other legislators are camping," sources said, adding that the Hoskote MLA was accompanied by BJP leader R Ashok. (PTI)
Update: A meeting of top Congress leaders is set to begin at KK Guest House. Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy is attending the meeting. Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah is also expected to arrive, News18 has reported.

Rebel Cong MLA Nagaraj heads to Mumbai
Efforts by coalition leaders to mollify rebel Congress MLA M T B Nagaraj seem to have failed as he has flown to Mumbai Sunday, according to sources.
Leaders of the Congress-JD(S) coalition held negotiations with Nagaraj on Saturday in a bid to woo him back to save the H D Kumaraswamy-led government in Karnataka that is on the brink of collapse.
The Hoskote MLA had maintained that he intended to take a final decision on the withdrawal of his resignation after talks with Chikkaballapura MLA K Sudhakar, as both had together submitted resignation to the Speaker on July 10.
According to the sources, Nagaraj is now on his way to Mumbai to join Sudhakar, who is said to be along with other MLAs who have quit and are camping there. Visuals of Nagaraj boarding a chartered flight have also surfaced on local news channels. (PTI)
After almost day-long negotiations yesterday in which Congress' "trouble-shooter" and minister DK Shivakumar, Deputy CM G Parameshwara, CLP leader Siddaramaiah as well as CM Kumaraswamy were involved, it appeared that Congress had made some headway in pacifying one of its MLAs, MTB Nagaraj, who hinted that he might consider withdrawing his resignation, but there was no formal announcement till late evening. Hectic parleys to mollify rebel Cong-JD(S) MLAs, BJP wants trust vote tomorrow
Congress-JD(S) leaders were locked in hectic parleys yesterday to pacify rebel MLAs as five more legislators moved the Supreme Court against the Speaker not accepting their resignation.
The BJP too upped the ante demanding that CM Kumaraswamy seek a trust vote tomorrow, a day prior to the Supreme Court hearing on a similar petition of 10 other rebel MLAs of Congress-JD(S) who have resigned. (PTI)
Congress MLA MTB Nagaraj said that though he gave his resignation, he has decided to stay in the party, and will convince K Sudhakar, who had earlier left the party, to rejoin.

Karnataka Live: Five more rebel Karnataka Congress MLAs, including Anand Singh and Roshan Baig, have moved Supreme Court against the assembly speaker not accepting their resignations, reports news agency ANI.
Just In | Independent MLAs R Shankar and H Nagesh, who took back their support from the Congress-JDS Government on July 8 have written a letter to the Speaker asking him to arrange their seating in the opposition benches in the assembly. (ANI)
