Blues 'scout' Hertha Berlin stars
Everton reportedly sent a scout to watch Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin in action.
The German side took on Karlsruhe in a pre-season friendly and SportBild via The Boot Room have suggested three potential players the Blues’ scout may have been getting a closer look at.
Marvin Plattenhardt, Davie Selke and Karim Rekik were all named in the German outlet’s profiling report.
Plattenhardt was linked with a move to Goodison Park following last summer’s World Cup with Germany, but Everton looked elsewhere with the arrival of Lucas Digne at left-back.
Marcel Brands will be familiar with centre-half Rekik who he signed on a two-year loan deal from Manchester City during his time at PSV Eindhoven.
Rekik has been rumoured as a alternative option if a deal for Kurt Zouma doesn’t come to fruition.
Meanwhile, Selke is a 24-year-old striker for the German club as Marco Silva could look to boost his attacking options.

Nicolas Pepe 'offer made'
According to reports Arsenal have launched a £70million bid to sign forward Nicolas Pepe from Lille.
French outlet TF1 originally reported the Gunners had made an offer for the highly-rated striker who has been linked with Everton.
But L’Equipe, cited by the Metro, approached the player’s agent Samir Khiat who allegedly responded to the bid by questioning: “Oh really?”
Meanwhile, BBC Sport have claimed Unai Emery’s side do not have the budget in order to complete the signing.

Fabian Delph latest
Everton are keen to wrap up the signing of Man City star Fabian Delph.
Marco Silva hopes to get the 29-year-old’s on board so he can link up with the rest of the squad and begin preparing for the new season.
