BATHINDA:
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president
Sukhbir Singh Badal has taken serious note of the Central Bureau of investigation(CBI) filing closer report in Mohali court in the
Bargari sacrilege case against three accused including killed Dera Sacha Sauda follower
Mohinderpal Bittu. Sukhbir on Saturday said that sacrilege is an emotional issue and CBI should withdraw the closure report and reach to the logical conclusion to unmask the guilty. He said if need be he will approach Union home ministry.
The CBI on July 4 filed closure report in Mohali court and next date has been fixed for July 23. Bittu was killed in
Nabha jail on June 22.
In the meanwhile, on thanksgiving visit at Jalabad, which is assembly segment of Ferozepur Parliamentary constituency, Sukbir blamed Congress government of Punjab of not doing anything to control drug menace in the state. He claimed lives of 218 youths have been lost due to drugs in the last two years since the Congress government came in power.
“Even young girls are falling in the grip of drugs with drug peddlers operating openly as they are sheltered by the members of ruling party”, said Sukhbir. He also pointed out that huge seizures of drugs had been made by the
Election Commission during code of conduct in the state. These seizures indicate that smuggling of drugs from Pakistan has increased sharply. Laxity on the part of the Congress government and shelter being given to the drug mafia is squarely responsible for this", he added
He slammed congress government for people getting inflated electricity bills. Sukhbir assured that the SAD would prevail upon the Congress government to take back the inflated bills.
