Tree plantation drive held at Vanamati police quarters

Nagpur: A residential premises of the khaki department is now set to become green with the kick-start of a tree plantation drive at ‘Vanamati’’s police quarters on VIP Road on Friday. Zonal DCP Chinmay Pandit and corporator Sunil Hiranwar joined hands to begin the drive.
Pandit, during his speech, underlined the significance of cleanliness and importance of contribution of even an individual in keeping the premises hygienic and green. He defined the role of an individual to ensure his or her own contribution to keep the place around him or her clean. Pandit urged an individual to devote at least one day in his or her life to keep the premises clean.

Corporator Hiranwar too assured the residents of Vanamati to ensure that anyone keen to engage in tree plantation drive would be helped with saplings from the forest department. Hiranwar stressed that every individual should plant one tree each for a greener environment.
The attendees from Sitabuldi police station included PI Jagvendra Singh Rajput and other officers. Several local residents, including police personnel and their family members, too were present during the tree plantation.
