Police are searching for a man who has not been seen since he visited a pub in the Yarra Valley with friends two days ago.

Werribee man Poshik Sharma disappeared after he was separated from a group of friends at the Duck Inn in Marysville at 3.50pm on Thursday.

The 21-year-old is currently the subject of a missing persons search by local police, which has been aided by the airwing unit and SES.

An image taken on the day Mr Sharma went missing shows him wearing a distinctive red scarf and shoes.

Anyone who sees Mr Sharma or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Marysville police station on 5963 3222.
