PATNA: Three youths were feared drowned in Saran while another were killed in
wall collapse in
Sitamarhi on Friday.
Three youths drowned while taking a bath in Gehua river at Usari Kala under the Isuapur police station area in Saran district on Friday. Saran SP Har Kishore Rai said the deceased were identified as Vishal (8), Dhannu (12) and Priyanshu (8).
In another incident, incessant rain since Monday claimed three lives as the wall of a neighbouring house caved in at Benipur village under Parsauni block in Sitamarhi district in the wee hours on Friday. The deceased were identified as Meera Devi and her her daughters Shivani (6) and Pratima (3).

Ranjeet Kumar Singh inspected the eastern embankment of Bagmati river as floodwaters entered several houses in Narpatganj, Sikty, Kursakanta, Kuwari and Forbesganj and Araria town on Friday. Waistdeep water also inundated a temple at Madanpur Bazar. Floodwaters also entered Tapu Gola in Pipraghat under Forbesganj.
