Railway staff told to be polite with passengers

SCR officials holds discussions on ‘passenger friendly stations’

South Central Railway (SCR) Chief Commercial Manager, catering and passenger services, and Chief Safety Officer K.V. Rao on Friday conducted a seminar on ‘Action Plan for Passenger Friendly Stations’, at divisional conference hall in the city.

Mr. Rao gave a power point presentation on passenger friendly measures and interacted with the booking clerks, travelling ticket txaminers (TTEs) and other staff, and asked them to treat the passengers with respect and politeness.

The officer addressed a meeting with safety, operating and signal and telecommunications branch officers and reviewed the safety. The Chief Safety Officer inspected the accident relief van, route relay interlocking systems, TTEs rest house and the level crossing gates.

Mr. Rao, along with Additional DRM (Operations) G. Sumana, senior divisional safety officer N. Rajendra Kumar and divisional commercial manager and in-charge public relations officer K. Rajendra Prasad, assistant commercial manager K. Kamalakar Babu and Vijayawada station director Ch. Suresh planted saplings at the parcel office.
