Three managers of finance company were killed in a car-lorry collision near Shencottai on Saturday. Two others who were severely injured were receiving treatment at the Tenkasi Government Hospital.
Five branch managers of a finance company had left from Pudukottai to Courtallam in a car on Friday.
After bathing in Courtallam waterfalls, they had left for Palaruvi in Kerala on Saturday morning.
When they reached Kattalai near Shencottai, the car dashed into an oncoming lorry.
Ramesh, 38, of Palakurichi in Ponnamaravathi taluk of Pudukottai district, and Pandeeswaran, 31, of Theni district, who was driving the car, died on the spot.
Senthil Kumar, 31, of Villapuram near Madurai, Vijaya Kumar, 33, and Kaja Mohideen, 40, of Pudukottai were taken to the Tenkasi Government Hospital.
Senthil Kumar later succumbed to his injuries. Puliyarai police are investigating.
