AHMEDABAD: Two students were caught cheating on day one of the supplementary exams for class XII and class X students.
Meanwhile, the chemistry paper for class XII science went viral and the police are investigating the matter, said sources in
Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB). The two who were caught cheating were appearing for the class XII chemistry paper today.
One of them whose exam centre was at Saraswati High School in Himmatnagar clicked pictures on his mobile and was sharing it with a friend using social media platform, sources said.
“The student had taken a break to go to the restroom from where he was caught sending exam paper pictures. The three-hour exam paper began at 10.30am and around 11.30am it was viral on social media. We suspect the student caught from Himmatnagar to be involved in this,” GSHSEB sources said. In another incident, a person was caught copying during examination at a centre in Banaskantha. All the centres for supplementary exam are at district headquarters. The two candidates who were caught today will be called before the exam reform committee which will decide on the future course of action.
