2 minor fire incidents in city

Ludhiana: Two minor fire incidents were reported on Friday in the city. One incident happened in a courier shop near Dholewal Chowk, and the other was reported in a house in New Deep Nagar. In both incidents, no casualty was reported.
Fire officials claimed that in the first incident in the office of a courier company, an explosion in an inverter battery resulted in the fire incident, with the owner also suffering minor burns. However, in the second incident, the fire took place in a washing machine, but nobody was harmed.
Fire officials claimed it took less than half an hour to control the fire at both the places. Also on Thursday night, a fire was reported in a hosiery goods shop in Dal Bazar. The shop was closed at the time of fire. Panic gripped the area, and fire officials faced a tough time reaching the spot due to dangling wires.
