Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ certified by FCC; punch-hole display confirmed

“Samsung Galaxy Note 10 images on FCC show the smartphone will not have a 3.5mm jack and will feature triple rear cameras”

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ have just been certified by the Federal Communications Commission in the US ahead of the launch on August 7th in New York. The listings on the FCC’s website have revealed the first official images as well as some features of the upcoming Galaxy Note 10 flagship smartphone. Its bigger sibling, the Note 10+, has also been certified by the regulatory authority, but its images and features are not available on the FCC site at the moment. Notably, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 images have confirmed that the smartphone will be ditching the 3.5mm headphone jack to deliver audio via the USB Type-C port.

FCC has certified three models of the Galaxy Note 10 including the SM-N975F and its dual-SIM variant, and the SM-975X. As for the Galaxy Note 10+, it has received certification with a single model number — SM-N976B.

The former’s images reveal that the smartphone will have a punch-hole display, which is also expected on its bigger sibling. As seen in the photos, the flagship will be featuring three cameras at the rear with a laser autofocus sensor and LED flash unit. The handset will also feature an earpiece in the top bezel. At the bottom, the device will have a microphone, a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, and a slot to house the S-Pen. The Galaxy Note 10 FCC certification also reveals that the phone’s dimensions will be 77.6 x 162.5 x 170.1mm. Notably, the physical Bixby button is missing from the smartphone.

According to reports, Samsung is expected to launch four Galaxy Note 10 series models this year — the Note 10 and Note 10+, and their 5G counterparts. They are expected to be offered at the starting price of around Rs 76,000. Since the launch is just around the corner, we expect more details about them to be unearthed by the rumour mill very soon, so stay tuned.
