12 theatre artists to be felicitated in Goa
Representative ImagePANAJI: Twelve theatre artists will be felicitated by the department of art and culture Goa on July 11 as part of the annual Gomant Rangbhoomi Din celebration organised by Kala Academy, Panaji. The day is celebrated every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Goan saint poet and playwright, late Krishnambhatt Bandkar.
The event will be held from 5pm onwards at the Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, at the Kala Academy Panaji. The 12 theatre artists will be awarded with the Rangsanman Awards and Krishnambhatt Bandkar awards followed by release of a CD of Sangeet Ahollyadhar and Natyasangeet programme by Pt Raghunandan Panshikar, Kalyani Salunke, Pralhad Hadfadkar and Sumedha Desai.
Renowned actress, Vandana Gupte will be the chief guest at the occasion while minister for art and culture and chairman of Kala Academy, Govind Gaude will preside over the function. The programme is open to all.
