Congress MPs to meet every morning to firm up day's floor strategy in House

Firming up a strategy to manage its affairs better, Congress' chief whip in Lok Sabha, Kodikunnil Suresh issued orders to all Congress MPs to meet every morning before the start of the session to decide on the day's floor strategy. In addition to the daily meetings, it was also decided that CPP chairperson Sonia Gandhi will attend the members' meeting every Tuesday.

A day after Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi nominated Congress leader in Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury to the Public Accounts Committee in Parliament, Congress also firmed up the names of Francis Sardinha and K Muraleedharan to the parliamentary departmental committee on finance, K Sudhakaran to the parliamentary committee on OBCs, Navneet Singh Bittu to the committee on public undertakings, and Santhosh Chaudhary to the committee on SC/ST.
Suresh also appointed MPs Gaurav Gogoi and Manickam Tagore as Lok Sabha whips to assist him in floor management and other party-related work.
