Actor was inspired by the characters of Dustin and Suzie in the finale from the third season

The hype over the ‘Bottle Cap’ challenge didn’t last longer than a week... but maybe this Stranger Things-inspired one will? The third season of the Netflix show released last week to huge anticipation.

Considering it is the main star of the show Millie Bobby Brown who has invented it, a legion of fans are indeed taking note and social media is already trending the #NeverEndingChallenge.

Those who haven’t binge-watched the third season of the show need to be aware that attempting the challenge will require knowledge of a slight spoiler, but not one that will ruffle any feathers.

The 15-year-old who plays Eleven on the show has taken inspiration from the Dustin-Suzie romance in the third season, and them singing the theme song of NeverEnding Story — right in the middle of the life-threatening finale. However, the scene came as a huge burst of comic relief for viewers who were on the edge of their seats during the climax.

Now, Millie who is great friends with Gaten Matarazzo (who plays Dustin) has posted a video of herself dancing to the theme song, titled it the #NeverEndingChallenge and asked fans to do the same.

“I nominate YOU to do the #NeverEndingChallenge,” wrote the actor in her Instagram caption, even saying she’ll repost videos which mimic her own moves. Other actors from the show followed suit quickly, while fans began dressing up as their favourite characters and dancing in their bedrooms. Clearly, the Stranger Things hype is not dying down anytime soon.
