SFJ announces to defy India's ban by hoisting Khalistan flags On August 15 outside Indian Consulates in US, Canada, UK and Europe

JALANDHAR: After the government of India banned Sikhs for Justice, the latter has responded by burning the tricolour and announcing to hoist Khalistani flags outside Indian consulates in different countries.
Releasing the video of burning of the tricolour, SFJ legal advisor Gurpatwant Singh Pannun announced to continue with separatist agenda and to spearhead the campaign for Referendum 2020.
Stating that they reaffirm their commitment to non-violent campaign for Sikhs' right to self-determination, Pannun announced, "We will defy India's ban by hoisting Khalistan flags outside Indian Consulates in US, Canada, UK and Europe on August 15 during India's Independence Day."

"Referendum is an internationally recognized democratic modus operandi to ascertain the will of peoples on any political issue. Khalistan is a political opinion and SFJ's initiative of seeking Sikh peoples' opinion through Referendum 2020 will continue irrespective of India's ban", he said.
"SFJ believes in ballot not bullet. After being unsuccessful in containing the growing popularity of Khalistan 2020 in Punjab through detention and torture of Referendum campaigners, Indian government is now trying to achieve its agenda by banning SFJ," he added.
